Bharathiar Birthday Celebrations, on 12 Dec 2017

Poetry rises above everything… Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering hosted an event at its auditorium on the 12th of December 2017 in honour of the great Tamil Poet, Bharathiyar. DCE Principal Dr. K. L. Shanmuganathan, ECE Dept. HoD Prof. V. Subramanian and Rotaract Coordinator Dr. K. Senthamilselvan attended this event. Mr. Venkat and Mr. Prakash from the Vivekananda Youth Forum presided over this event by delivering scintillating messages that illuminated the paths of Tamil poetry. In their respective presentations, the guest speakers delved into the intricacies of Tamil poetry that were typical of Mahakavi Bharathiyar. The poignant subtleties of his versification were explained in detail to the immense delight of the audience. The event ended on an auspicious note with a collective resolve to imbibe the ethics gleaned from Bharathiyar’s work and life. When a poet is honoured, the gods themselves bestow their divine approval!
