Seminar on Data Access Technologies organised by Dept ECE, on 19 Dec 2017

To access or not to access…that is the question There are several implications when it comes to accessing data in its various ramifications. On one side there is the problem of accessing the source and on the other, the safe-guarding process of information repositories. Altogether, it doesn’t seem to be an easily maneuverable area of technology. Mr. Rajkumar, Asst. General Manager of BSNL, visited our campus to deliver a lecture on ‘Data Access Technologies’ for the benefit of ECE students on the 19th of December. His lecture dwelt on the intricacies and myths surrounding Data Access. The Guest Speaker expounded on the developmental history of such technologies and also its significance for the future in the context of ‘Digital India’. The welcome address was given by Prof. V Subramanian, HoD of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. Dr. Shanmuganathan, the Principal of Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, elaborated on the profile of the Chief Guest in his introduction. Finally, in the vote of thanks, Dr. K Senthamilselvan, Professor from ECE Department, appreciated the resource expert for his valuable insights.
