Internship Programme on Advanced Automotive Technologies from 03 to 05 Jun 2017

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an on-campus internship programme through TOP Engineers on the title Advanced Automotive Technologies. The internship was scheduled to happen from 3rd June 2017 to 5th June 2017.

Participants from all over India took part in the internship programme. Students from Velammal Engineering College, Panimalar Engineering College and St. Joseph’s Engineering College participated with enthusiasm. Cochin University and institutions from other states like Andhra Pradhesh were also a part of this technically informative event.

In this internship programme, students learnt about the basic components of I.C. engines theoretically and practically. Later on, in the afternoon session they assembled and dismantled I.C. engines of various types such as two stroke petrol, two stroke diesel, four stroke petrol and four stroke diesel engines.

An Industrial visit was also arranged to Atalon Engine testing centre for learning the testing procedures of I.C. engines. Autotronics was taught by experts from that field. Experts from JBM Auto Pvt. Ltd., Atalon Engine testing laboratory and Moto Corp. conducted training sessions with a practical orientation.

The student’s response towards this programme was overwhelming. The Department of Mechanical Engineering expressed its sincere thanks to the Management and Principal for the encouragement and support accorded to this event.
