Throttlez 2K19, on 14 Aug 2019

The inaugural function started by 09.30 am at EEE auditorium. The Plant Head of Hinduja Foundaries, Mr P Venkatesan graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour of the function were Mr Selvamani, HR, Super Auto Forge and Mr Rajesh, Johoku Industries. The symposium was inaugurated by our Honourable Chairman Dr V P Ramamurthi.

Dr Suyambazhagan, Principal presented his presidential address and Dr A R Pradeep Kumar, briefed the history of Throttlez. The audience of 12 faculty members, 270 participants and 230 Mechanical department students took part in the ceremony in which Chief Guest delivered a speech on electric vehicle and its significance and Mr Rajesh from Johoku industries gave an good insight regarding Japanese industries and Japanese language, which was very helpful for the students to know the future scenario of the industries.

Mr V Sriram, thanked all the guests on and off the dais and the Inaugural Ceremony came to an end with National Anthem.

The motto of THROTTLEZ is to incorporate the total sense of skills and knowledge among the participants from various colleges. This year “THROTTLEZ 2K19”, which is the 6th season of technical feast and entertainment, is surely be a next step to the growth and development of the DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. We take this pride moment as the milestone of success for future years, with a desire to put our technical schemes on display for the large and passionate scientific community.

During the conduct of symposium various events have been conducted. The events have been classified into technical and non-technical events. Technical events have been chosen mainly based on the curriculum of the Mechanical department.

Our students also displayed models such as Throttlez wheel, Scrap car and a flapping butterfly which was a good exercise on hands on experience with the machines and tools.
