The Guest Lecture was organized by ECE department on 12.09.2019 by 1.00 a.m. in ECE Seminar Hall,
Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai, on the topic “Digital Signal Processing and its
Applications” by N. Venkat Ramana, Scientist D, CVRDE, DRDO Division, Chennai. The session was
exclusively for the third year ECE students. First, Dr. K.Senthamilselvan, Professor and Head, gave
welcome address to the gathering. He gave the introduction and importance of DSP nowadays in the
upcoming technological world. Then, N. Venkat Ramana, Scientist D handled the session. The resource
person gave brief introduction about signals and system. Then the speaker explained the basic concepts
of digital signal processing and its applications. In his lecture, he also spoke about job opportunities
in research organization. The session was very useful for students to know about the basic concepts of
digital signal processing and its applications. Then, the session had an interactive question and answer
session. Finally, Dr.A.Niranjil Kumar, Professor/ECE, proposed vote of thanks to the gathering on this
occasion.
