Guest Lecture - Embedded Systems and Robotics, on 02 Aug 2018

The Guest Lecture was organizedby the department of ECE on 02.08.2019 by 2.00 PM in ECE Seminar Hall, Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai, on the topic “Embedded Systems and Robotics” by SLN Technologies, Chennai.The session was exclusively for the final year students. The aim of this guest lecture was to tell the students the importance of embedded system in the industry and the role of robotics in different manufacturing units. First, Dr. K.Senthamilselvan, Professor and Head, gave welcome address to the gathering. Dr. S. Suyambazhahan, Principal gave special address on this occasion. Mr. G.Sathyamoorthy / HR of SLN Technologies, Chennai addressed the gathering about the career opportunities and employment in the field of Embedded Systems and Robotics.Then, Mr. S.Senthilvel / Embedded developer of SLN Technologies, Chennai, handled the session. His presentation started off with fundamentals of electronics and then the brief introduction about the embedded systemsand robotics. He discussed about,embedded systems design paradigms, architectures, possibilities and challenges both with respect to software and hardware, logic discussion and demonstration of robot, real-time systems, artificial intelligence, learning systems, sensor and measuring systems, and their interdisciplinary nature needed for integrated hardware/software development of embedded systems. He spoke about the writing robotics and embedded programs to interface different types of input/output devices with the microcontroller to do projects. The session was very interactive due to interest showcased by the students and also it was very useful for students to know about the current leading trends in industries.Then, the session had an interactive question and answer session. Finally, Dr.A.Niranjil Kumar, Professor/ECE, proposed vote of thanks to the gatheringon this occasion.
