Department Overview
Department of Training and Placement
The department identifies the training needs based on the industry requirements from time to time and trains the students using corporate trainers and assists the students for completing certification courses and make the students ready for appearing placement drives.
It identifies the industry needs and organises special courses and projects for the faculty members through Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) to enhance their skill-set as per industry standards.

Placement Oriented Training
Intensive placement-oriented training programmes are conducted to students right from the 1st semester in order to expose and make students habitual to the expectations of various industries. The training programmes are conducted on:

The students are trained on the above through corporate trainers and are given sufficient online / offline practice sessions. Mock interviews are conducted to increase the confidence level, team spirit, leadership qualities and to groom their body language. The students are also motivated to take-up online pre-qualifier examinations like e-litmus, AMCAT, Cocubes, Techgig, Freshersworld, Mettl, Techruit, etc.
Placement
The department continuously works to identify the requirements of companies and co-ordinates with the trainers team and the career development cell to train the students. The Team maps the right talent to the right industry. It has been working meticulously to achieve 100% placements year after year. The department focuses more on giving opportunities in core industries to the students.
The department has introduced the “Earn While You Learn” model through paid internships. The students are prepared for interviews and are placed for internships. The students are paid a stipend, ranging from Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 25,000/- during their internship period. The internship model helps the students and the corporate to understand each other better, paving the way for the students to get placed in the companies. The department continuously monitors students’ progress and helps them upgrade their skill sets accordingly. Special timetables and procedures are designed to facilitate the students to complete their regular curriculum during their internship.

Internal Hackathon for SIH 2023
To develop innovative and scalable solutions that address [specific problem or challenge] using cutting-edge technologies and creative approaches, Internal Smart India Hackathon 2023 has been organised in DCE to enhance the problem-solving techniques and also to improvise the presentation and communication skills.
Seminar on National Education Day
To celebrate the spirit of education and its transformative power, a Seminar on National Education Day was organized at DCE. The seminar aimed to deepen awareness about the importance of education in nation-building and to inspire students and faculty to contribute actively to the educational ecosystem.
This event provided a platform to explore the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in education, while fostering skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, and lifelong learning. Through expert talks and interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to appreciate the value of inclusive and quality education and to commit themselves to continuous personal and professional growth.
Celebration on Independence Day - Azadi Ka Amritkal
To honor the spirit of freedom and the journey of our nation, a special event on Independence Day – Azadi Ka Amritkal was organized at DCE. This celebration aimed to inspire patriotism and reflect on the progress made since independence while envisioning a vibrant future.
The event provided a platform to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to motivate students and faculty to contribute actively to nation-building. Through cultural performances, speeches, and interactive sessions, participants were encouraged to embrace the values of unity, resilience, and innovation for a prosperous India.
Webinar on Angel Investment / VC Funding opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs
To provide students encouragement for start-ups and also to provide knowledge to the future entrepreneurs about the sources and procedure of initial and subsequent funding for their start-ups, marketing and operating expenses to launch the business. The students got awareness to gather funding through business loans, personal savings, and got ideas to provide the necessary capital to start, sustain, and complete the project, with a return on investment as the ultimate outcome.

EcoVision 2025: Awareness for a Greener Tomorrow
The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is “Ecosystem Restoration.” It calls for urgent action to heal and revive our damaged ecosystems. Our planet’s ecosystems, from forests to oceans to wetlands, provide essential services such as clean air, fresh water, and fertile soil. They support biodiversity, which is crucial for the survival of countless species, including our own.
HACKATHON
In our DCE with the Department of Training and Placement is association with DCE Coders Club and Oneyes Infotech Solutions organised “DCE Hackathon 2024”. Students identified various Domain lists and sectors being faced under different departments of the city. Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Game Design and Development, App Development, Cloud, IOT, Blockchain, Cyber Security, Robotics, Full Stack Web Development, Education, Health Care, Agriculture, Banking, Insurance, Travel, Tourism, Food, Media & Entertainment, Sports, E-Commerce, Human Resource, Automotive & Manufacturing, Textile, Aviation, Biotech, Defence Manufacturing, Construction and Telecommunication were provided to students on Hackerearth portal.
Start Smart: Incubation Pathways for Budding Innovators
Opening remarks introduced the importance of structured incubation in nurturing early-stage ideas. Keynote speaker emphasized how incubation bridges the gap between concept and commercial success.

- Holland Code: CDC organizes the psychometric test to find the individual student’s personality via Holland codes or RIASEC. The six personality types are: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional, also known as the RIASEC types. All these types are equal in importance and are needed in every organization.
